LRS has been in business for over 35 years!

You may remember us as LIBRARY REFERENCE SERVICE. We started providing information to school counselors and nurses in hard copy format, and we have provided information on social topics to Librarians for over 30 years for the "Vertical File" area of the library. We have served over 7,000 schools over the years!

Our criteria insures that controversial issues are properly balanced and respect views regardless of race, color, religion, or ethnic background.

The LRS Database grows daily. Each of these topics you see in our list has articles added constantly, and some older ones may drop out periodically.

In our quest for primary source information, we review congressional hearing transcripts, special commission reports, press releases, academic studies, as well as more mainstream literature to get students a diverse selection.
